RBH utilizes Aluminum Cone Technology to manufacture an accurate, lightweight and stiff cone that delivers a quick, smooth response and eliminates distortion. Distortion occurs when the cone of the speaker moves when it shouldn’t but since aluminum cones are rigid, they only move when dictated by the frequency of the music. Most popular brands on the mass market today use either a paper cone or plastic cone, both of which tend to flex or break up at low and high frequency ranges.
RBH in-wall speakers and freestanding loudspeakers use polyswitch protection to protect the tweeter from excessive current. If a loudspeaker is played at extremely loud levels this protection circuit will activate and attenuate the tweeter output until the volume is reduced to a safe level. What this means for you is that RBH speakers protect themselves from being “blown” by too much power.
