Structured Wiring

Home Cable Austin TexasHome electronic technology is growing more and more sophisticated. Many homeowners are seeking a way to integrate all their electronic needs with a simple structured wiring solution. Many more will be demanding it soon – not only to meet current needs but future requirements as well.

Structured Wiring is the foundation of your home’s wiring and is essential for meeting homeowner’s high tech demands. Structured wiring is simply running Multiple wires capable of carrying voice, data and video signals throughout your house in a Home Run Design. This is significantly better than the traditional method of looping phone wire from one location to another or wiring all of your cable wires to the outside of the house. These wires consist of Category5 cables and RG-6 Coaxial cables run to a centralized connection center. These wires can be ran individually to a location (1 phone or 1 cable at a time) or in a combination that would be best suited for a particular application (home office or multimedia, for example). Also, Integrity Home Systems wires every phone location with Category5e cable that is capable of high-speed networking and Internet, giving you the flexibility to do voice or data over the same wire.

Integrity Home systems has created the term “entertainment outlet”, a term which represents a popular wiring configuration used at entertainment centers, equipment racks or locations in the house where multiple pieces of equipment (TV’s, DVD players, CD’s and A/V receivers) will be located. An entertainment outlet consists of 3 RG-6 Coaxial cables and 1 Category5 cable and is capable of delivering Cable TV, Satellite, telephone and Camera video to the same location at the same time. You can also “backfeed” video from an entertainment outlet location to the connection center and distribute that video to the rest of the house!

We suggest the best way to ensure you are prepared for almost all current technologies AND for future technologies is to run “Structured Drops” throughout the house. Structured Drops are 2 RG-6 Coaxial cables and 2 Category5 cables wrapped together in an outer sheathing and gives you the ability to have different combinations of telephone, data, video and audio at each location. This is the only way to future proof your house and avoid costly sheetrock damage trying to retrofit these wires. This could also make the difference when it comes time to sell your home and will increase the resale value of your home.
